The True Meaning of Christmas
This is not a recent Word, the Lord gave it to me a few years ago, but was recently placed back in my hands. I sensed I neede to share it this Chrstmas Season. It was during a conversation with one of my daughter that we both agreed we needed to change some of our Christmas traditions. She commented that she and her husband want to establish their own traditions! Is it possible that what was passed down to us and then to our children, may not reflect the true meaning of Christmas? And is it possible there are other traditions we have passed down to our children that may not reflect truth? Once a tradition has been established and passed down generation after generation, it is almost impossible to "break with tradition."Jesus was left out of Christmas for most of my life, and I passed that tradition on to my children. I didn't "know" this baby Jesus and I didn't "know" Jesus as Savior, so how could I share Him with someone else. But one day I had an encounter with Jesus and I accepted Him as my personal Savior.
I have learned that what I was taught about Jesus was not truth at all. It was only a tradition passed down by someone who didn't know the truth or had rejected the truth because of their own traditions. We can't separate the traditions of Christmas and the traditions of our faith because they are one and the same. What we believe about Jesus reflects the condition of our heart. And once something has taken root in the mind and the heart, it is almost impossible to pull it out. The root has to be severed. And only the truth of God's Word can bring change to the heart. As I prayed that day about traditions, especially new traditions that reflected what God had done in my heart, the Lord began to speak. I pray you will listen with your heart as I share the Lord's heart with you
"Write down exactly what I say to you
Traditions are about to change
The old ones aren't any good
I will reveal the true meaning of Christmas
Everyone will know why I sent my Son
The Savior of the world
It's about time my child
It will come like a great wave
Many will be swept away
Yes child because of rebellion
But many will rise to new heights
Soar on eagles wings
Many I say, many
Yes, my child
Night is almost over
A great Light has risen
Don't you see the rays
Yes Father
But the rays seem to be going up
The light is in you child
As my light fills my people
I will shine forth
A great light I say
Your light will shine forth for all to see
Walk in my light child
Your light will draw men unto me
Yes child, my light that is in you
A great light is dawning
Men will know
Just as a star led men to me
Yes child, there are many stars in the world
And those stars will draw men to me
Shine brightly my star
For in the days ahead your glow is needed
Let your light so shine before men for all to see
I am the Bright Morning Star
Like the one that still shines over Bethlehem
Don't you see my child
It was always meant to be
You saw that satr for a purpose
It's still leading men to me
Yes child, it drew you to me
ANd now the light is in you
It won't be an effort child
Just stand in my Glory
They will come to you
They will come and not know why
You just speak my word
Don't you see, I am still moving among my people today"
At this point the Lord stopped speaking and began to sing to me. He sang this song to me so I would know the tune. It is the same tune we sing "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem" to. But I have called this song, "Little Star of Bethlehem." These are not words you have heard before, it is a new song! It describes perfectly my experience on the shores of Galilee a few years ago when the Lord drew me outside to look up in the sky and behold the most beautiful star I had ever seen. The Bright Morning Star.
"Oh little Star of Bethlehem
Above the cloudless sky
So still and bright you still shine
Above the world tonight
Your glow is there for all to see
It shines brighter still
And draws all men nigh to thee
O Star of Bethlehem
Oh little Star of Bethlehem
I long to be near
Shine brightly in my heart O Star
For all the world to see
You drew me there upon the shore
To gaze up in the sky
My eyes were drawn to its glow
That early morning hour
Oh little Star of Bethlehem
I still see your glow
It shines ever brighter still
Upon my soul tonight
Peace, peace, wonderful peace
Shine forth within
I see your glow all around
For all the world to see
Oh little Star of Bethlehem
How I love you so
You light shines forth within my soul
Setting me free
And now your light shines without
For others to see
It glows brighter each day
O Bright and Morning Star.
Not only are these words anointed, but the message of Christmas is here, and the Lord said I was to share them with you. My prayer is that you will read the words and allow them to speak to your heart. The miracle of Christmas is the new birth.
May the Bright Morning Star shine brightly upon the hearts of all who read these words.
Shalom,
